The term Spinning in content marketing refers to creating a post or an article for, for example, a blog, starting from another article or similar articles, with the intention of elaborating content that seems original and of quality, to favor, thus, SEO. Put more simply, spine is copying texts from others and making some variations to make it look like a new one. Variations such as, search for synonyms, alter the order of sentences, change titles, etc.

Currently, spinning is discouraged, and in many cases it is considered a Black Hat technique to position content, since Google is able to detect it with its algorithms and does not comply with the basic premise of SEO: “Create unique and relevant content”
