What is Firewall

A firewall is software that prevents unauthorized access from a private network. They serve to improve the security of computers connected to a network. It acts as a “traffic barrier” on the network, as all communications must flow through the firewall. And it is in that “barrier” where the transit of the web is granted or rejected.

How a Firewall Works

Among the main features of a firewall are the following:

  • A firewall causes any unauthorized user to access a computer and its networks.
  • Check the communication between your computers and others on the Internet.
  • Warns of possible connection attempts from other computers.
